The final of the World Snooker Championship 2026 continues on Monday (4 May), with veteran Shaun Murphy and Chinese prodigy Wu Yize once again going head-to-head at the iconic Crucible.

The 22-year-old leads the former world champion, who last lifted the trophy 21 years ago, 10-7, and appears to be in control heading into the final two sessions.
"I think he's going to be world champion," Mark Allen said (via BBC Sport) after being knocked out by Yize in the semis. "Even though I'm devastated to lose that match, I think the right person is in the final."
And Yize certainly isn't taking the occasion lightly, telling BBC Sport he will give "everything" to take home the title, which would see him become the competition's second successive winner from China.
But can Murphy, with all of his experience, turn things around?
