Mark J Williams used all his experience to come from behind and beat Shaun Murphy in the semi-finals of the World Snooker Tour event.
The Welshman will now face Ali Carter, who showed his quality to blow away Ding Junhui in the other last-four clash.
The fifth ranking tournament on the WST schedule is the first of the Home Nations series – with the Northern Ireland Open, Scottish Open, and Welsh Open still to come in 2026/27.
Mark Allen is the defending champion after beating Zhou Yuelong in the final of last year's event but the Northern Irishman is absent after withdrawing due to personal reasons.
It promises to be a fantastic final and UK fans don't have to miss a moment.
Radio Times brings you all the details about how to watch the English Open 2026.
