The East Lake Golf Club will host its first championship event following a restoration project, with the world's best players set to collide in a bid for glory.

Players have been cut down to just 30 following their performances in the FedEx St. Jude Championship and BMW Championship.

The remaining elite pack will be handed a starting score, from 10-under par down to evens, providing the cream of the crop with a healthy, earned advantage before the Tour Championship kicks off.
