Xabi Alonso takes charge of Chelsea for the first time on Tuesday as the Blues face Western Sydney Wanderers to kick off their pre-season tour of Australia.

It's a first opportunity for the Spaniard to see his new squad in match action – albeit without some of the big names, who are still resting after the World Cup.

A positive pre-season is important for Alonso as he looks to bed in his ideas after taking charge permanently after the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

Building fitness and understanding is more important than anything else in early friendlies but fans will want to see some promising signs against their hosts, who finished bottom of the A-League last term.

Radio Times has rounded up everything you need to know about how to watch WSW v Chelsea on TV and online.
