The Seagulls finished eighth in the Premier League last season and have earned a shot at a place in Europe's third-tier competition as a result.

Fabian Hürzeler's side must beat their Norwegian hosts over two legs, the second of which is at the AMEX Stadium, to reach the League Phase.

Tromso have the advantage of being three-quarters of the way through the Eliteserien campaign and sit third in the table.

They were knocked out of Europa League qualifying by Hradec Králové but beat CFR Cluj in the last round of Conference League qualifying.
