Aston Villa face Unai Emery’s former club Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday evening.

The Villans secured their place in the season’s curtain-raising match courtesy of their success in the Europa League final last May.

Youri Tielemans and Morgan Rogers were among the scorers in the 3-0 victory over Freiburg, although the pair have left the club over the summer.

PSG will be looking to lift the Super Cup for the second year in a row after retaining their Champions League title.

Luis Enrique’s team needed penalties to beat Spurs in last season’s Super Cup and also required a shootout to get the better of Arsenal in the Champions League final at the end of the campaign.

Emery, who managed PSG between 2016 and 2018, could hand a competitive Villa debut to Alejandro Garnacho as the gaffer tries to win the trophy for the first time after three previous failed attempts with Sevilla and Villarreal.

Radio Times has rounded up everything you need to know about how to watch PSG v Aston Villa on TV and online.
