Former Al-Ahli boss Matthias Jaissle takes charge of the Magpies for the first time following Eddie Howe's shock departure at the end of last month.

Howe's exit came amid the backdrop of key men Anthony Gordon, Bruno Guimarães and Sandro Tonali being sold for mega fees and Jaissle faces a challenge to steer the club back up the table following last season's disappointing 12th-place finish.

Liverpool chiefs have charged Andoni Iraola with getting the club back into the Premier League title mix after last season's difficult campaign under Arne Slot.

The Reds have had a muted summer in the transfer market, however, and Iraola needs to find a way to replace Mohamed Salah's goals following the Egyptian's exit.
