Manchester United fans will be pleased with the business the club has done in the early part of the summer but most will want more reinforcements before the start of the new campaign.

There's a newfound sense of stability at Old Trafford under Michael Carrick and that's been reflected in some shrewd business, with midfielders Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans signing from Premier League rivals for reasonable fees and goalkeeper Karl Darlow joining on a free.

However, they could still do with adding more forward firepower, another midfielder, and potentially strengthening their left-hand side.

Juventus are eyeing Man Utd striker Joshua Zirkzee as a potential alternative to PSG's Randal Kolo Muani, who is their priority.

The Dutchman is one of the players expected to leave Old Trafford this summer and goalkeeper Radek Vitek could be another amid links to Middlesbrough.

Vitek has said he's open to a loan or permanent move away from Man Utd this summer after impressing with Bristol City last term.

It looks unlikely that the Old Trafford outfit will return for Atalanta midfielder Ederson, who has signed a new deal at the Serie A club after his previous move to United fell through.

A third midfielder could still make the move to Manchester this summer, however.

Roma's Manu Kone and Brighton's Carlos Baleba have been named as players that Man Utd are strongly considering – though there have been suggestions the fee could be an issue in signing the latter.
