England v Argentina team news

England midfielder Declan Rice is reportedly fit to start the semi-final clash against Argentina in a huge boost for the Three Lions.

The Arsenal man has been nursing an injury issue throughout the tournament but came off at halftime in the quarter-final against Norway after having had a stomach bug in the build-up.

Reece James is available and Nico O'Reilly has recovered from his hamstring strain, which means that, apart from Jordan Henderson (broken wrist) and Jarell Quansah (suspended), Thomas Tuchel's squad have a clean bill of health.

As for Argentina, Lionel Messi, who was caught in the eye by Granit Xhaka in the quarters, and Cristian Romero, who was forced off with fatigue, are expected to be ready to take on England.

England v Argentina predicted line-ups

England: Pickford; James, Stones, Guehi, O'Reilly; Rice, Anderson; Saka, Bellingham, Gordon; Kane

Argentina: E. Martinez; Molina, Romero, Li. Martinez, Tagliafico; Paredes, De Paul, Fernandez, Mac Allister; Messi, Alvarez
