Honours were even between the two sides in the ODIs. The hosts won the opener, the second was a washout, and then the White Ferns won a rain-hit final game to level the series.

Attention now turns to the shorter format ahead of the start of the home tournament in June. England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt has been ruled out of the T20 series against New Zealand and India, with Charlie Dean once again stepping up as skipper, but there is optimism she will be back for the World Cup.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge and Sophia Dunkley return to the hosts' ranks as both teams build towards the start of next month's tournament.
