ITVX confirms special dedicated The Walking Dead channel for fans as beloved franchise arrives on streamer
The 24/7 rolling channel includes both the original series and its first spin-off.

One of the biggest TV franchises of the past quarter-century has landed on ITVX in the form of a free and continuous ad-supported channel on the streaming platform.

The original series began by following Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) as he awoke from a coma to find the world around him decimated by a zombie apocalypse.
An ever-changing ensemble played fellow survivors, including Danai Gurira (Black Panther), Steven Yeun (Invincible), Jon Bernthal (The Bear), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Boys) and Sonequa Martin-Green (Star Trek: Discovery).
Save Me star Lennie James originated the character of Morgan Jones in the original series, before migrating to spin-off show Fear the Walking Dead, which is also streaming in ITVX's channel at launch.

The companion series began by following the post-apocalyptic life of fiancés Madison (Kim Dickens) and Travis (Cliff Curtis), and their kids, but that premise evolved over the show's eight seasons.
It remains to be seen whether further spin-offs could be added to the free ad-supported TV (FAST) channel, but The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead alone are comprised of almost 300 episodes.

Plenty to get stuck into, in other words! The channel will be playing episodes of both shows 24/7, with viewers able to drop in at any time to get a slice of zombie action and poignant drama.
ITVX launched its The Walking Dead Universe yesterday, nestling it alongside other FAST channels for the likes of Midsomer Murders, Vera, The Chase and Carry On.
The Walking Dead franchise lives on in the form of sequels Dead City and Daryl Dixon (both on Sky and NOW), the latter of which is concluding with its fourth season later this year.
The Walking Dead is streaming on ITVX.
