Rick and Morty shows no sign of slowing down! Having recently concluded its latest run on Adult Swim, attention has turned to what comes next for the dimension-hopping duo – and the good news for fans is that season 10 is already locked in.

The tenth season forms part of a marathon commitment from Adult Swim, which first ordered 70 new episodes back in May 2018, a deal that formally carried the series through season 10.
Since then the network has gone further still, announcing at New York Comic Con 2024 that seasons 11 and 12 had also been greenlit, keeping the wacky sci-fi series on air potentially until 2029.
That's particularly good news given that the latest season was the strongest in several years, meaning we could be on the cusp of another golden age of the show as it recovers from some behind-the-scenes storms.

Rick and Morty season 10 release date speculation: When could it return?

Rick and Morty season 9. Adult Swim
There is no Adult Swim-confirmed premiere date for Rick and Morty season 10, and any specific calendar dates circulating online should be treated as speculation rather than official confirmation.
The show's recent release pattern offers the best indication of when we might see more.
Season 8 ran from 25 May to 27 July 2025, and season 9 premiered on 24 May 2026, with both airing 10 weekly episodes on Sunday nights at 11pm ET.
That late-spring-into-summer rhythm points towards a probable 2027 window for season 10. Encouragingly, showrunner Scott Marder has also indicated the gaps between seasons should shrink.
He confirmed the writing for season 10 is finished and that production had begun while season 9 was still being coloured, suggesting the team is working further ahead than in the show's earlier, more sporadic years (via Gizmodo).

- Ian Cardoni as Rick Sanchez
- Harry Belden as Morty Smith
- Sarah Chalke as Beth Smith
- Chris Parnell as Jerry Smith
