The Apple TV series follows Seehorn's character Carol as she's suddenly forced to navigate a world where almost every other human is subordinated to a collective consciousness that promises peace and harmony.

The show debuted last year and quickly earned critical acclaim, thanks to its compelling characters and exploration of ethical dilemmas.

Speaking to Deadline during the red carpet for a special Academy Museum event, the actress said: “I’m leaving very soon to shoot season 2."

Asked what she’s looking forward to on the second season, she added: “My family. My second family. My family away from home. And being able to work with Vince again. His scripts are always the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and the best thing I’ve ever done."

She continued: "I have script one, it’s all I have, and it is bananas. It is absolute bananas.”

Last month, creator Vince Gilligan confirmed the season 2 filming timeline in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, saying: "We got the first two scripts. We won't be starting shooting until about beginning of November, late October."

He continued: "We'll hopefully, within the next week or so, give [the actors] the first two scripts so they'll have a big idea of what the beginning of the season is."
