Strictly Come Dancing host Emma Willis had to issue a correction during this week's show, after a spot of confusion with the leaderboard.

A mistake was made with Lacey Turner's score, after her Tango with pro partner Vito Coppola.

After taking to the dance floor, the pair were awarded two 7s, a 6, and an 8 by the judges, totalling 28. The 6 was given by Shirley Ballas - although her score appeared on screen as a 7, with Lacey's total initially being reported as 29.

Viewers noticed the mistake in the moment, taking to social media to express their confusion, with Emma addressing the blunder at the end of the show.

"Before we go to the leaderboard, we need to apologise because there was a mistake with Lacey and Vito," she explained. "Shirley scored a 6 but the graphic said 7 so we can confirm Shirley did in fact score a 6 so the correct total score is 28."

Thankfully, the mistake didn't affect Lacey and Vito's position on the leaderboard, and fans have taken to social media to congratulate the pair on their performance.

"I’m gonna need lacey to start believing in herself IMMEDIATELY because my god she’s so good. her best dance yet by far for me," one said on Twitter (formerly X).

"This tango was definitely lacey and vitos best dance can we just talk about the end it was so iconic!" another said while one more added: "Lacey to win!!!"

Elsewhere this week, Delta Goodrem made a triumphant return to the dance floor after suffering a rib injury and having to miss out on last week's competition.

Meanwhile, Shaun Wright-Phillips suffered a "disaster, darling", and Anton Du Beke found himself in quite the awkward situation with Dani Dyer's husband, Jarrod Bowen.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Sunday 25 October at 7:10pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
