For those familiar with the faith drama, the line-up is drawn entirely from the cast of The Chosen, who trade the set for the wilderness alongside survival expert Bear Grylls.
Similar to Grylls's long-running Running Wild format, the six-part adventure series sends the actors, and series creator Dallas Jenkins, into the remote wilderness as they take part in physical challenges paired with personal and spiritual reflection.
As described by Prime Video, the actors "leap from planes, scale cliffs, eat scorpions, zip line over canyons, and navigate some of the country's most rugged terrain", with Grylls drawing out conversation about faith and doubt.
Filmed across Utah's Castle Valley and Canyonlands, the Ausable River, the Colorado River, the Great Basin Desert and the Adirondack Forest, the series launched on Sunday 9 August.
So, who dares to take on the challenge? Below is a guide to the celebrity contestants taking part.
