After four weeks of gruelling challenges and multiple eliminations, Physical 100 came to an end on Netflix, crowning the first winner of the South Korean reality show.

Quickly storming up Netflix's Top 10 streaming list, the competition made its debut at the end of January and has become a sleeper hit, with many viewers considering it a reality version of Squid Game.

While 100 contestants – made up of special forces soldiers, athletes and fitness influences among others – started off in the challenge, by the final episode the group was whittled down to just five remaining hopefuls aiming to take home the 300 million Won (approximately £195,000) prize.

But who won the competition and what did they have to do as the final task? Here's everything you need to know about the results of the Physical 100 quests.

Quest 0

Quest 0 wasn't technically a task, with no one being eliminated at the end of it.

The contestants were challenged with hanging from a metal frame by their arms for as long as they could, with those that last the longest winning a "privilege" in the first quest of the show.

Kim Min-cheol and Kim Kyeong-bae emerged as the champions for this task – however, it was Kim Min-cheol who hung on for the longest, winning an advantage for Quest 1.

The first quest of the competition paired off contestants as they went head-to-head in a fight for possession of a ball. Whoever had the ball when the time ran out was the winner, and contestants had a choice of two different arenas: an obstacle-filled playground or a sandy pool.

Contestants had a 50 per cent rate of making it through to the next round and those who were eliminated then had to smash the white moulds of their torsos with a hammer.

The second quest of Physical 100 saw the remaining contestants be placed in teams of five and race to build a bridge. Two teams competed against each other at a time and the team that manage to fill the tube and bridge with as much sand as possible within the time limit won.

This surprise quest was for the contestants who'd been eliminated in Quest 2, giving them a chance to re-enter the competition.

The eliminated entered a room where they found their torso moulds hanging from the ceiling. They were tasked with holding onto the rope to stop their torso from falling and the last five who could do it for the longest were given the chance to return to the competition.

After the five eliminated contestants rejoined the competition, which now had 30 remaining survivors, the third quest was announced, with the six teams needing to merge to become three. The teams had to pick another group that they thought would help in the next challenge.

Once three teams of 10 were formed, the contestants were challenged with dragging a ship weighing 1.5 tonnes from one destination to another. The team that did it in the least amount of time won.

The fourth quest of the season saw the remaining 20 contestants split into four teams and compete in five different games, with each one based on ancient mythology.

The winner of each game would make it the final, which had space for just five contestants, and each team selected one of their group to compete in the games.

Game 1 – The Punishment of Atlas

In the first game, each delegate had to hold up a large rock. The last person standing would win the challenge.

Game 2 – The Fire of Prometheus

The second game challenged the contestants with running through an obstacle course in order to grab a torch. The person holding the last torch would win the game.

Game 3 – The Wings of Icarus

Game 3 required the contestants to climb a rope repeatedly until there was just one person left climbing.

In the final game, the contestants had to push a 100kg boulder up a hill, with the winner being the final one remaining.

The show's final quest saw the remaining five contestants compete in four games, with one player being eliminated after every round.

Game 1

Game 1 was a tug of war between all five contestants as they each tried to grab the key in front of them, which opened their padlock. The last person remaining was eliminated.

Eliminated: Kim Min-cheol

Game 2

The second game saw the four remaining contestants become teams of two to take on the "square flip" – as seen in Squid Game.

Each team tried to flip as many squares as possible onto their colour, with one side of the square being white and the other side black. Whichever team had flipped the square onto their colour the most when the time ran out were declared the winners.

After Jung Hae-min and Park Jin-yong won the challenge, Jo Jin-hyeong and Woo Jing-yong faced each other in a head-to-head game.

Eliminated: Jo Jin-hyeong

Game 3

Game 3 saw the three remaining contestants take part in a bleep test of sorts, running between their start point and the "next apex" within a certain time limit.

Eliminated: Park Jin-yong

Game 4

The fourth game was the final challenge in Physical 100, requiring the two contestants to pull on a rope until it was loose, at which point they would be able to destroy their rival's torso cast.

Ultimately, it was Woo Jin-yong who was Physical 100, with Jung Hae-min losing at the final hurdle.
