Who is Doughnuts on The Masked Singer? Theories, clues and songs
We don't know whether to guess who's in the costume or eat it.

Season 3 of ITV’s The Masked Singer continues on Saturday evening with many faces yet to be revealed to us - including Doughnuts, who seems to be having a ball on the show.

Doughnuts is a footballing star if the judges' guesses are to be believed with many stars of the sports thrown into the mix - including big names like Michael Owen and Gary Lineker.
However, there is every chance that they could be off the mark completely and they should be casting their minds in a different direction. Maybe this will be the weekend we find out for ourselves who it is.

- They say they are not known for being lazy
- There was a jockey reference
- The VT included a reference to ornithology
- And they were eating crisps
- Joel Dommett told The Mirror that this person "did it for their kids" - so we know they have more than one child
- There may have been a Bake Off reference in the VT
- Sweet Caroline was a big song for England in Euro 2020

Is Doughnuts Michael Owen?
If you ask us, we'd be sure Doughnuts was hiding Michael Owen underneath the bulky costume.
Apart from simply sounding quite like the former England superstar, the clues certainly pointed towards the striker.
With nods to football all over the first VT package, it seems inevitable this contestant has played the beautiful game before.
But what really points towards Owen was the flippant comment about Doughnuts being a jockey... Owen owns horses of his own and has described his "third love" after family and football as horse racing.
And fans are in agreement, with many sharing their comments on social media. Michael, is that you?

Is Doughnuts Robbie Fowler?

Former Liverpool FC legend Robbie Fowler could be hiding behind the Doughnuts mask.
Like Michael Owen, Fowler enjoyed a successful football career, and was best known for his stint at the Merseyside club.
Is Doughnuts Nick Grimshaw?

Rita Ora thinks her her pal and radio presenter Nick Grimshaw could behind the mask. She pointed out that he appeared on the celebrity version of The Great British Bake Off, which could be a major reference to the doughnut costume.
Some fans were quick to agree. One tweeted: "Am I the only one who thinks Doughnuts is @grimmers? Northern DJ was on Great British Bake Off. Might need more clues though as I can't link the crisps to Nick Grimshaw." Nick, is it you?
Is Doughnuts Gary Lineker?

Back to the football guesses after a brief DJ interlude, and former England legend and current Match of the Day host, Gary Lineker, is another that has had his name thrown into the mix.
As well as the guesses that led to other footballers being considered, it is the addition of crisps in the VT that have people thinking it's Gary -he does have a long history with Walkers.
Is Doughnuts Wayne Bridge?
Another footballer here and as the above picture shows, he is not averse to trying new things. Wayne Bridge is a name many think is behind this mask with one person taking to Twitter to say "Sweet Caroline is played before every Reading Fc game. Wayne bridge ended his career at Reading. Also, Helicopter could be from I’m a celeb?" - a thought echoed by many. But are they right?
