The streamer has announced that Lineker will join as host and Osman as expert analyst on the live darts event that pits amateurs against the world number one, all for a chance to win £501,000.

Netflix first announced the game show last month, in which the rules are simple: one night, one chance and one perfect leg of 501. If an amateur can defeat the 19-year-old, they will walk away with the life-changing cash prize.

A nationwide recruitment search to find the 20 competitors brave enough to take on the challenge opened along with the announcement, with open regional heats to be held in Manchester and London in September to find the players.

And all the action will unfold live on Friday 30 October.

The intense amount of "stats and odds" related to darts meant they wanted a figure who could handle all of the analysis said Daisy Lilley, director of live at Netflix UK at Edinburgh TV Festival 2026.

On casting Lineker as host, vice president, original series at Netflix, Anne Mensah noted "we went to the best" when it came to football before.

The live event is produced in partnership with the PDC, the governing body behind professional darts, and will be rooted in the authentic world of competitive darts, bringing the sport's electric atmosphere live on Netflix.

Littler rose to fame in 2024 and has gone on to win two PDC World Championships, in 2025 and 2026, and is the youngest world champion in darts history. He has won 13 PDC major singles titles - ranked third all-time - and a total of 28 PDC titles.

He is currently ranked world number one in Professional Darts Corporation events.

Beat Luke Littler will premiere on Friday 30 October.
