True crime drama The Witness explores the real-life murder of Rachel Nickell on Wimbledon Common in 1992 in broad daylight, specifically looking at the experiences of her partner André and son Alex.
At two years old, Alex was the only witness to the crime, and was suddenly thrust into the centre of the police's investigations and into a media storm.
The toddler was interviewed multiple times and forced to relive the most traumatic moments of his life, after which André made the decision to move abroad.
Jordan Bolger plays André in the three-part drama, while Alex is played at different ages by Max Fincham and Jahsiah Williams. Other key members of the cast include Eleanor Williams as Rachel, and Neil Maskell, Kevin Eldon and Mark Stanley, who play other key characters.
