We're now almost at the end of The Capture season 3, with the fifth episode having flashed back to reveal major details about just what's been going on with Killian Scott's Noah Pierson, and his involvement in the death of Paapa Essiedu's character, Isaac Turner.

We've also finally learned more about the mysterious Simon, revealed to be the AI overlord of Pierson's E-Squadron.

With Pierson having seemingly turned tables to now work with Holliday Grainger's Rachel Carey, it's all setting up a dramatic finale, capping off a season which also featured the death of Ron Perlman's character Frank Napier.

But when will the season conclude with its sixth and final episode, and what is the full release schedule for The Capture season 3?

Read on for everything you need to know.

The first episode of The Capture season 3 was released at 6am on BBC iPlayer on Sunday 8 March, before airing at 9pm on BBC One later that night. The show has since been following this release schedule for the rest of the season, with new episodes arriving on Sundays.

This means that episode 6, the finale, will be released on BBC iPlayer at 6am on Sunday 12 April, before airing at 9pm later that day on BBC One.

There will be 6 episodes of The Capture season 3.

This is the same number of episodes as in both seasons 1 and 2, which were released in 2019 and 2022 respectively.

Creator Ben Chanan told Radio Times that he started writing season 3 thinking it would be the last run of the show - however, he said he could no longer be certain that that would be the case.

"I see each season almost like a movie in itself, and the story within the season is concluded for sure - I hope it is," he said. "But you can't get rid of everybody and the door’s always ajar."

The Capture season 3 is releasing its six episodes weekly on Sundays, with each instalment airing at 9pm on BBC One.

However, fans will be able to watch the episodes ahead of that time, as they will be individually released on BBC iPlayer at 6am on the same day as they are set to air.
