If there was ever any doubt that Off Campus would relight the Heated Rivalry craze, Prime Video's romantic drama has certainly quashed any such notion.

The hit series has won the hearts of millions of viewers all over the world, with particular praise going to its breakout stars, catchy soundtrack and sensitive handling of hard-hitting issues.

Prime Video seemed to anticipate that Off Campus would do gangbusters, so the streamer secured the show's future before it even premiered, with specific details about the second season now coming to light.

Most notably, we know which couple will be next to get their own whirlwind romance, as the series converts to a Bridgerton-style structure in order to properly adapt the books by Elle Kennedy.

If you're intrigued to know what's coming up, read on for everything we know so far about Off Campus season 2 on Prime Video.

Off Campus season 2 release date speculation

Off Campus was renewed for a second season in February 2026, before a single episode had been released, in a savvy show of confidence from Prime Video – but there's no confirmed premiere date just yet.

At the Hollywood premiere of season 1, executive producer Neal Flaherty revealed that filming on the next instalment was already "starting," meaning we have reason to be optimistic for a rapid turnaround (via THR).

Given this progress, it's quite possible that Off Campus season 2 will launch within a year of the first, meaning sometime around May 2027. That's just speculation for now, though – we'll update this page once concrete plans are announced by Prime Video.

An official synopsis for Off Campus season 2 is still to be revealed, but we do know that it will be based primarily on Kennedy's third novel The Score, with elements of her second, The Mistake, for good measure.

After much speculation, showrunner Louisa Levy confirmed in late May that Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn would lead the season 2 cast, to further explore the romance between promising actor Allie and hockey star Dean Di Laurentis.

Their connection was referenced throughout season 1 and spotlighted in detail in the sixth episode, but clearly showrunner Levy feels there is much more ground to cover.

Novelist Kennedy agreed in an interview with Today: "You haven't seen that much [in season 1]... Half the book, they are hooking up, but once their relationship kind of deepens... there are so many plot points that are happening that we have not seen."

The synopsis for The Score offers some clues (via Elle Kennedy's website): "Dean is in full-on pursuit, but when life-rocking changes strike, he starts to wonder if maybe it's time to stop focusing on scoring… and shoot for love."

A subplot in season 2 will concern the sparks between John Logan and Grace Ivers (India Fowler), but it may only serve as a tease for a potential third season, as actor Antonio Cipriano's recent comments seem to suggest.

"What's great about the first season is the fact that [going forward] you do know everybody and you're rooting for everyone," he told People. "So whoever's season it is, you're going to be excited. You're going to be rooting for them to get that love."

Cipriano added: "Obviously, we have a Grace now, and that's very exciting. So there's going to be a little bit of that [in season 2], and we'll just see how it all plays out."

The breakout star personally broke the news to Fowler that she'd be joining the show for season 2, as seen in a heartwarming video shared to the show's Instagram account. Watch here:

The synopsis for Logan and Grace's story, titled The Mistake, reads: "Behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he'll be forced to walk after graduation.

"A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he's worth a second chance. Now he's going to need to up his game."

Meanwhile, teasing what's in store for our original lovebirds Garrett and Hannah, co-star Cameli told Bustle: "They've just gotten to a place where they have decided to continue their relationship.

"It really is a beginning for them, and so, I'm excited to see where Garrett and Hannah go as individuals and together."

The actor also reminded readers that Garrett's "serious hockey predicament" still needs to be resolved in season 2, after the promising athlete was suspended due to his fight with another player (who had a dark and disturbing history with Hannah).

Off Campus season 2 cast: New and returning

Off Campus season 2 will see the return of Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli as lovers Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham, although they won't be the leads the next time around.

Showrunner Louisa Levy explained (via EW): "Sometimes you fall in love with a couple and then you get their happily ever after and you're like, 'What are they gonna do next season? I don't wanna break them up. But I still wanna watch them.' And we will.

"Hannah and Garrett are still in season 2. They're still gonna be part of it, but their love story is not the thing that's driving the season anymore."

Instead, co-stars Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn are to step up to series leads, as the plot shifts focus to the unlikely romance between promising young actor Allie Hayes and rising hockey star Dean Di Laurentis.

It's quite possible that Antonio Cipriano's supporting role of John Logan will be expanded too, as the character encounters his own love interest Grace Ivers, to be played by India Fowler (Fear Street: Prom Queen).

We'd also expect to see more from Jalen Thomas Brooks as frat member and fellow hockey hunk John Tucker, who might well lead a future season if the show continues to be renewed by Prime Video.

Stage actor and Shining Girls star Phillipa Soo will be joining the cast of Off Campus season 2, playing a theatre director working on a show for the college drama department.

One notable absence will be Josh Heuston as band frontman Justin Kohl, who has had to step away from the hit series due to a scheduling conflict – but we haven't necessarily seen the last of him.

"I love Josh and I would not write him off, if I can find a way to bring Justin back at some point," said Off Campus boss Levy (in an interview with TV Guide).

"We never got a chance to meet Stella, who is the person he ends up with in the book. So maybe we'll find a way to fold him into a future season. We don't have him [available] next season, but never say never."
