The news was revealed by the streaming platform on Wednesday (5 August) – one day before season 3 is set to drop – on social media.
Netflix shared a picture of the central trio played by Nikki Rodriguez, Noah LaLonde, and Ashby Gentry, and wrote in the caption: “Back in the house, back on the ranch. MY LIFE WITH THE WALTER BOYS S4 is now officially in production!”
My Life with the Walter Boys is based on Ali Novak's novel of the same name and follows Jackie (Rodriguez), a recently-orphaned Manhattan teenager who moves to rural Colorado and is forced to adapt to a new life with her guardian’s big and chaotic family.
Season 3 is set to pick up with Jackie after she declared her love for Cole (LaLonde) during the season 2 finale – despite still being in a relationship with his brother Alex (Gentry).
The season 3 synopsis reads: “Season 3 sees the Walters realise what’s important in the fallout from this – and discover that it’s okay to go after what you want.
It continues: "With their love lives still hanging in the balance, Alex turns to his new rodeo riding team, and Cole gets back in the driver’s seat of his life, literally, when a race car driver sees potential in him."
