Dutton Ranch season 2: Release date speculation and latest news
Beth and Rip's Yellowstone spin-off is coming back to Paramount+, with a new showrunner in the saddle.

Beth and Rip's journey is set to continue. Unsurprisingly, given that Dutton Ranch became the biggest original series launch in Paramount+ history when it came to a close at the start of July, the streamer wasted little time renewing the Yellowstone spin-off for a second season.
When the renewal was announced, Jane Wiseman, head of originals for Paramount+, said that Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser's characters Beth and Rip "are among the most iconic duos in television history", adding that "we are thrilled to bring a whole new world to life with Dutton Ranch for our subscribers around the world."
We know little about season 2 at this point, which is unsurprising given that season 1 has only just finished airing. However, we do know that there will be a change behind the scenes, as Chad Feehan, the showrunner of season 1, has departed, with Justified veteran Benjamin Cavell taking over his duties going forward.
Asked about the change, Hauser told The Hollywood Reporter: "Showrunners change all the time. This business is about adapting. We’ve been doing this for a long time. Things change. People move on."
But what else do we know about Dutton Ranch season 2 thus far and when are we likely to see it? Read on for everything you need to know.
When could Dutton Ranch season 2 be released?

We don't yet know when Dutton Ranch season 2 will premiere on Paramount+, but we are expecting that it will likely arrive in 2027.
Of course, it will depend on how quickly production can start up, but the early season 2 renewal helps chances that it will be sooner rather than later.
Another Yellowstone spin-off, Marshals, went into production on season 2 mere weeks after its first run had finished airing, so Dutton Ranch may be able to follow suit.

Who could be in the Dutton Ranch season 2 cast?
It wouldn't be Dutton Ranch without Yellowstone favourites Beth and Rip, meaning Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are expected to return in their key roles.
The rest of the cast for season 2 is currently unconfirmed, although we're also likely to see the majority of the central players from season 1 back too, including Finn Little, Ed Harris and Annette Bening.

What could happen in Dutton Ranch season 2?

Season 1 saw Beth and Rip moving to start a new life at a ranch in Rio Paloma, South Texas, months after a wildfire destroyed their Montana home. The move pitted them against Annette Bening's Beulah Jackson, the head of the rival 10 Petals ranch, whose operation concealed a criminal smuggling scheme behind its cattle business.
Official plot details for season 2 have not yet been released, so we don't know where the story will take the central duo, but we do know that showrunner Chad Feehan will be replaced by Benjamin Cavell, as discussed above.

Where will Dutton Ranch season 2 be available to watch?
Dutton Ranch is a Paramount+ original, meaning that, like the first season, season 2 will stream on the platform.
