Sarah Solemani plays DS Christine Lickberg
Ad
Christine is the strict, young, hyper-aspirational new boss.
“She is intrigued by Deering, she has a different way of working, a bit more formal, following protocol, doing things by ‘the book’. She observes how Deering not just thinks ‘outside the box’, but puts a grenade in the box, blows up the box then pisses on the box to destroy the evidence. They were a great ‘odd couple’ in that respect.” – Solemani
Where do I recognise Sarah Solemani from?
Solemani is best known for her role as a slob in her 20s alongside Russell Tovey in the comedy series Him & Her. She's also appeared in Bad Education and recently starred in Bridget Jones’s Baby as Bridget’s new friend Miranda.
Rakie Ayola plays Nora Attah
Nora is a business woman and the matriarch of a Manchester crime family.
“She definitely plays Deering, though she wouldn’t bother if she didn’t have a great deal of respect for her. I think Nora genuinely likes Deering – but not the fact that they are on opposite sides of the law.” – Ayola
Where do I recognise Rakie Ayola from?
Ayola was in Dredd, Sahara and Holby City. You may also recognise her from Black Mirror and EastEnders.
Will Mellor plays DC Spike Tanner
A very driven detective, Spike is a risk taker with an unshakeable moral compass. He’s the emotional glue in the team.
“Spike’s got a real heart. He’s had quite a shady past and because of that, he always wants to give people a chance.” – Mellor
