BBC comedy Ghosts' US remake gets UK release date for new episodes – and it's soon
Season 5 of the CBS hit lands on BBC Three and iPlayer with a launch-night quadruple bill.

Fans of the American remake of Ghosts will not have to wait long to catch new episodes, with the BBC confirming that season 5 arrives on UK screens in a matter of days.

Ghosts (US) follows the same premise as the original, seeing Samantha (Rose McIver) and Jay Arondekar (Utkarsh Ambudkar) inherit a crumbling country mansion, which they strive to turn into a bed and breakfast.
However, after a near-fatal accident, Sam discovers she can see and hear the house's long-dead residents, a squabbling ensemble of ghosts drawn from wildly different eras.
The fifth season of the CBS sitcom Ghosts lands on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer on Saturday 15 August 2026, giving British viewers their first proper look at the episodes (that aired stateside between October 2025 and May 2026).
To mark the arrival, BBC Three is lining up a quadruple bill on launch night, starting at 8:40pm, while the full run will be available to stream as a box set on iPlayer.

Ghosts US has been a rare example of an American remake of a British sitcom that has worked on both sides of the Atlantic, drawing strong ratings, healthy reviews and a swift run of renewals, with the show already commissioned for a sixth season.
British audiences have been able to catch the remake on BBC Three and iPlayer since November 2022, where it now sits alongside all of the original version for viewers who fancy comparing the two. If you just can't get enough, Ghosts Australia has also recently launched, with the Beeb snapping up that one too.
Clearly, it's a great time to be a fan of this comedy franchise, with the British creators also set to reunite in October for feature film spin-off Ghosts: The Possession of Button House.
As for what season 5 of Ghosts (US) has in store, the run keeps Sam and Jay juggling life at the Woodstone B&B and their new restaurant, Mahesh, while the mansion's spectral residents cause their usual chaos.
Ghosts (US) season 5 will be on BBC Three at 8:40pm on Saturday 15 August 2026 and will be available to stream on BBC iPlayer from that date.
