Gbemisola Ikumelo and Hammed Animashaun return as Dom and Kay, the unlikely police community support officers-turned-spies, who are taking on their first undercover mission for MI5.
Jennings (The Crown, A Very English Scandal) plays Dr Charles Dunstable, "a controversial historian", while Denise Black (Rivals, Emmerdale) has been cast as Jean, "a pathologically unhelpful, rather jaded long-term MI5 employee counting down the days to retirement".
CJ Beckford (Blitz), Al Nash (Saturday Night Live UK) and Neil Bell (Peaky Blinders) have also signed up for guest roles.
They join returning cast member Akemnji Ndifornyen as gang boss Tevin.
The official synopsis reads: "This series sees Dom and Kay handed what sounds like a simple assignment: uncover the identities of a secretive far-right terror group by infiltrating the world of a shady museum director who is selling off priceless artefacts to fund their activities. What could possibly go wrong?
"Quite a lot, as it turns out. When a figure from Kay's past resurfaces, threatening both the mission and the pair's friendship, Dom and Kay are thrown once again into a battle to keep the nation safe.
"Their high-wire caper takes in billionaires, a windsurfing incident and an impromptu trip to the Peak District."

Season 2 ranked among the top 10 returning BBC comedies in 2025/26 across all BBC channels and platforms. Ikumelo picked up the BAFTA for best female comedy performance in 2024, while Animashaun took home the RTS award for best comedy performance (Male).
Ikumelo said: "It's crazy that we're back doing this again and have somehow managed to make Dom and Kay's lives even more chaotic! We've also been spoiled with the most amazing guest cast.
"So many ridiculously talented people who have come in and completely thrown themselves into the madness."

Ndifornyen added: "And that's a wrap! We've had such a good time making series 3 and the guest cast have been absolutely brilliant. It's always exciting to bring new characters into the Black Ops world and these guys have really gone for it.
"Dom, Kay and Tevin are back in the thick of it and, as usual, things don't exactly go to plan," he continued , while Animashaun described filming as "a wild ride".
"Although I'm not sure Kay would describe it that way as we put him through a lot this series, as you'd expect," he laughed. "We've had so much fun filming with some incredible actors joining in on the fun and madness, and I think it really comes across on screen."
Black Ops is coming soon to BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
