The trailer lands ahead of the show's return later this month, offering a first proper look at what lies in store for the New York-based friends played by Malik Elassal, Lucy Freyer, Jack Innanen, Amita Rao and Owen Thiele.

In the trailer, we see that the group are having to reckon with everything from neighbourhood crop-top hate to conflicting thoughts about their life stages, problematic social media videos and egg freezing. So, just the usual amount of chaos for the beloved sitcom!

Matarazzo appears alongside a run of other guest names, including Girls icon Zosia Mamet, social media personality Jake Shane, Curb Your Enthusiasm's Susie Essman, That's So Raven child star Raven-Symoné, The Beauty's Isaac Powell and Saturday Night Live's Ben Marshall.

The show follows a group of 20-somethings who live together in Samir's (Elassal) childhood home as they navigate their twenties together. Created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, the series premiered last year to favourable reviews and a fanbase that appreciated the messy portrayal of navigating adulthood and friendship.

Kronengold and Shaw executive produce alongside Nick Kroll, Sarah Naftalis, Jonathan Krisel, Alicia Van Couvering and Rob Rosell, with FX Productions producing.

As for what season 2 has in store for us, we know it'll comprise of eight episodes and picks up with the friends tackling a fresh set of real-world dilemmas, from awkward family dynamics to the fear of asking for anything to change. A special prequel episode was released last month, which gave further context on how the group came together.

Teasing what's to come, series star Amita Rao told TV Insider: "We pick up where we left off at kind of a tense place. We ended the season in a place where obviously, some emotions weren’t being talked about between Paul Baker and Anton, and I think that tension is alive and well in the house, and Issa is responding to it."

Speaking about the fact that Raven-Symoné will be joining the cast as Anton's sister, Owen Thiele also revealed: "She’s amazing. I mean, Anton doesn’t think so, but she is amazing. Raven-Symoné is amazing. I also loved working with Susie Essman. She is a brilliant comedic force who should be cast in every single project that ever existed."
