Since 2025, TNT Sports has been the hub for all of Eurosport’s key holdings, including cycling, tennis, snooker and the Winter Olympics. This joins their already vast catalogue of rugby union, cricket and Premier League football.

Now in 2026, TNT Sports is the main UK broadcaster of the Commonwealth Games, taking place in Glasgow.

So, what exactly is TNT Sports? And how can you get it through streaming services Discovery Plus, Amazon Prime and more? Here’s everything you need to know about the rebranding.

What is TNT Sports?

TNT Sports used to be a hub for domestic and European football in South America, but following the merger, it is the new name for BT Sport.

The channel is controlled by Warner Bros Discovery and now has a dedicated brand in the UK for all things football and rugby.

TNT Sports is also the main UK host of the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

How will you be able to watch TNT Sports in the UK?

There are a few ways to get TNT Sports in the UK.

If you're signing up to TNT Sports from scratch, you will need to do so through the streaming service HBO Max. You can sign up to this either through HBO Max itself or through Amazon Prime which will cost an additional £30.99 a month.

Plus, you can also sign up to TNT Sports through Sky. For an extra £31 a month you can add TNT Sports to your Sky Sports package, meaning you can get all your favourite sports channels in one place.

However, the cheapest way to get TNT Sports is by adding it on to a pre-existing TV or mobile contract, whether that's EE, Virgin Media, or yes, BT still, you can get TNT Sports as an add-on for £22.

How much does TNT Sports cost?

Right now, prices start from £25.99 a month to get TNT Sports, through a monthly pass on HBO Max. Plus, as we've said, you can get it through Sky for an extra £31 a month.

However, if you're a Virgin, EE or BT Broadband customer, you can add the TNT Sports channels to your package from £25 a month.

Does TNT Sports have a UK free trial?

Sadly no, TNT Sports does not have a free trial in the UK.

Is TNT Sports worth it?

With prices for a TNT Sports subscription usually starting from around £25 a month, it's more than a small investment. So it's worth considering the question: is TNT Sports worth it?

The short answer is yes, if you're a fan of certain sports. TNT Sports is mostly known for rugby union and European football coverage, so it's an important thing to have if you're a fan of either of these sports.

It's also a key player when it comes to streaming Champions League football, Gallagher Premiership rugby, and any content formerly contained within Eurosport.

If you're on the fence, we would still recommend TNT Sports if you're a customer of Sky, EE or Virgin Media, as you can often get it bundled into your package for a lower price.

However, if you're mostly a fan of Premier League football, we wouldn't recommend signing up to TNT Sports, as you have to pay for this separately.
