One of the surprise hits of 2025 was Dispatch, and having not launched on the console, the game's Xbox release date is now confirmed.

It tells the story of a superhero-turned-dispatcher, and comes to us from a host of talented former Telltale devs.

Thankfully, while we have had to wait a long time to get Dispatch on Xbox, we don't seem to be nearing Dispatch season 2, so there's no real rush.

But if you're excited to finally find out what you've been missing, here's what you need to know about the Dispatch Xbox release date.

When is the Dispatch release date on Xbox?

Dispatch will release on Xbox Series X/S on 29 July 2026.

Unfortunately, the game will not be coming to Xbox One, just as it never released on PS4 or Switch 1 consoles.

The game will be an Xbox Play Anywhere title, meaning you can purchase it on either your Xbox or PC via the Microsoft app and play it on either platform, so long as you use the same profile.

Dispatch initially released on PS5 and PC via Steam late last year, with a Switch 2 port coming at the start of 2026, so Xbox fans have had to wait quite a while for their chance to jump in.

Will Dispatch be on Xbox Game Pass?

Unfortunately, it appears that Dispatch will not be on Xbox Game Pass.

During the game's Xbox release date announcement, no mention of a Game Pass version was made, and with not long to go until the release, we don't think that's a coincidence.

That being said, Xbox tends to announce the games coming to Game Pass in chunks, so there's potential that the next batch of games to be announced will feature Dispatch, although we do think that's quite unlikely at this point.

So, if you've waited this long to play it, you're going to have to fork out £24.99 / $29.99 to play it like everyone else.
