This shouldn't come as a massive surprise, with the game's first DLC (Wild Card) dropping today. If you need a recap of the main campaign, check our our spoiler-filled interview with its narrative director!

Update 1.4.0 features a load of gameplay changes, notably reducing the number of times you are forced into stealth and giving the player more freedom of choice in combat.

This is something of a big deal as the forced stealth sections were a major bone of contention for many a player and critic alike.

Alongside these major gameplay changes are some new visual fixes that should improve how the game looks across all platforms.

What changes in the Star Wars Outlaws patch?

The most notable change included in update 1.4.0 for Star Wars Outlaws is the removal of many forced stealth sections and greater player choice when it comes to combat.

Yep, even in syndicate territories in cities, you should now be able to choose between stealth and action combat more seamlessly.

The development team seems to have put a lot of work into fixing the game's issues with stealth. Enemy weak points have been added to reward strategic players and AI and detection improvements should make stealth feel more rewarding and less taxing.

Another nice change is the improvement of facial expressions and animations during dialogue scenes.

All told, it's a big update, weighing in at 10.18GB on Xbox, 7.44GB on PS5 and 8.83GB on PC.
