Calling all Pokémon fans! Pokémon have just announced a brand new Pokémon store in London, but there seems to be a catch – how long we’re going to have to wait for it.

The new store will include exclusive merchandise for all Pokémon lovers, and the UK location marks the first store outside of Asia.

Considering that the Pokémon Centres in Japan are packed full of adorable items, plushies and accessories, there's clearly a lot to look forward to.

But before you start daydreaming about everything you’re going to buy, the shop will officially open at some point in 2029, meaning we might have to wait three years before we can step foot in the new flagship.

And although most fans are happy, some are understandably disappointed by the wait time, as X user @Rosaextraganza writes "How does it take 3 years to open a store as one of the biggest franchises going?"

On the bright side, at least that’s plenty of time to start saving some cash so you can go on an all-out Pokémon shopping spree.

Meanwhile, chief product and experience officer at The Pokémon Company International, Gaku Susai, said: "We are always exploring new opportunities that help us create unique and memorable experiences for our fans.

"This new London store will give visitors the chance to step into the world of Pokémon, whether they’re discovering the brand for the first time or have been Trainers for years.

"We hope it becomes a place where everyone can come together, feel like part of a community and enjoy the magic of Pokémon in a whole new way."

We still don’t know much about the new store, where exactly in London it will be located and how big it will be, but with a release window in sight we can hopefully hear more soon.
