Here is an overview of what we know about the mode and what it could mean for the game.

When is the LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Mayhem Mode release date?

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Mayhem Mode – what to expect

Based on datamine leaks, the Mayhem Mode will act as a separate option away from the main game.

Harley Quinn and The Joker will be playable. Harley's hyenas will work in a similar way to Catwoman's cats, which you can control, with both having a set of abilities that reflect the ability offerings from other characters.

Additionally, both will have their own set of costumes that correspond to the other costumes available for the game's other characters.

This mode will offer up unique currency, which can then be spent on new items, costumes, and in a hideout which is exclusive to the mode.

The mode will have a set amount of missions, with optional objectives, new landmarks, and additional features. Some of these include the ability to steal cars and vehicles, as well as fight A.R.G.U.S. Roadblocks. Finally, Poison Ivy and Mr Freeze may be playable in the final version, as they can be found in the files.

We will keep this page updated with the latest information as and when it is leaked, or TT Games announces details on the mode.
