On the game's official Steam page, the Helldivers 2 developers have described the second April update as primarily a stability-based update.

The update addresses a number of issues that had been causing Helldivers 2 to be crashing for some players.

On top of that, there were some UI-based tweaks and slight gameplay changes. Some known issues are still waiting to be patched out, as well.

Plus, it's probably no coincidence that the return of the Automatons, and the arrival of a new Major Order, occurred on the same day as this update!

Gameplay

"We have updated the stats UI for weapons to take into account any explosive damage done by them. This is to give weapons that do damage with explosive projectiles a more fair representation in the UI. Most notably affected is the PLAS-1 Scorcher."
