After waiting for what felt like an eternity, Grand Theft Auto 6 has finally announced that pre-orders are opening.

Since Trailer 2 dropped over a year ago, Rockstar Games has been all but silent regarding new information about the game.

Whether a marketing ploy or not, the lack of news had prompted plenty of fans to speculate as to if, or indeed when, another delay was to be announced.

But those fans can seemingly rest easy now, as Rockstar has officially confirmed that pre-orders for the game will begin on 25 June 2026.

The game will be available on all digital storefronts, and you can wishlist it now on the PlayStation and Xbox stores.

It appears that physical versions will also be open for pre-orders at select retailers, though it's currently unknown which ones.

The news was broken with a clip showing a first glimpse at the game's cover art, featuring the logo prominently in the centre on top of the classic mosaic pattern of various characters and vehicles from the game.

Annoyingly, while pre-orders have been confirmed, there's still no news about how much the game will actually cost.

Speculation about the price of GTA 6 has run rampant ever since its announcement, and while many analysts are predicting it to land around the $80 mark, others believe it could be the first game to break the $100 barrier.

The announcement of pre-orders effectively confirms that GTA 6 is on course to release in November, as expected, and it would be a tremendous surprise to see it delayed again once players have started to purchase it.

Now, while we wait for those pre-orders to release, most players are going to be clamouring even harder for that elusive Trailer 3.
