Fortnite has once again dipped into its storied history with the latest Chapter 2 Remix season, adding a musical twist to the famous Chapter 2 that first launched in 2019.

Epic Games has sent players on a nostalgic journey back when they returned OG Fortnite to the game.

The previous season, Chapter 5 Season 4, ended on Saturday 2nd November 2024, with the new season kicking off with a live event featuring Ice Spice and Snoop Dogg, coinciding with them performing in New York – both featuring in this new season.

What is Fortnite Remix?

Fortnite Remix is a throwback season akin to Chapter 4 OG from last year, giving off the impression we fans can expect a season inspired by the game's history once a year.

The season is also themed after popular music artists Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice and Eminem, with each artist getting fresh skins, an area of the map based on them and in-game items.

Much like the last retro season, this is a shorter season with a smaller Battle Pass and looks to sunset Chapter 5 in anticipation of the upcoming Chapter 6.

When does Fortnite Remix end?

As stated above, Fortnite Remix is a shorter season than traditional, so it is set to end on November 30. This means this season will only last a month before we embark on Chapter 6.

A shorter season also means the Battle Pass is smaller, too, but there are still plenty of new skins and goodies to enjoy this time.

This season, like others in the past, includes bonus rewards that will be dished out by completing extra challenges.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix map changes

Just like with every season of Fortnite, the map has been reinvented for Remix, but it features plenty of classic locations like Slurpy Swamp and Retail Row; however, there are also some new locations that have been woven in.

New locations will be added throughout the season, too. Here are all the locations in the current map as well as what locations are expected to arrive soon:

What else is up for grabs in Fortnite Remix?

To commemorate this season, alongside the Battle Pass, fresh skins will be arriving in the store and will be themed after certain artists, including Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice and Eminem.

Each skin will tie in with the locations above and have a weapon introduced to the game. The weapons include:

On top of that, Snoop Dogg is also this season's icon for Fortnite Festival Season 6, with a unique skin available via the Music Pass.

However, the best change is that the unvaulted Boogie Bomb now plays Snoop Dogg's Drop It Like It's Hot when thrown.

Introducing Kicks

Kicks are also being added to the game, meaning skins can now be adorned with different footwear. The goal is eventually to have 95% of skins compatible with the shoes, with the launch offering a pair of Nike Jordans. Kicks will be introduced on November 12.

Below is what we can expect every week in this upcoming, shorter season of Fortnite:
