Ahead of the full launch of Black Ops 6, players have been getting to grips with Omnimovement, a brand new movement system that's already proving popular during the beta.

Call of Duty is no stranger to reinventing how players move around the maps.

The release of Advanced Warfare saw the introduction of exo-suits, allowing players to double-jump and dash in all directions to outwit the opposition.

How does Omnimovement work? Keep on reading for all the intel on the system and how it works.

What is Omnimovement in CoD BO6? New movement system explained

Omnimovement allows players to sprint, slide and dive in any direction, adding more fluidity to the player movement than ever before.

Although it's new, Omnimovement feels extremely intuitive and is straightforward to master.

The ability to sprint in any direction adds even more opportunities for players to move around the map as fast as possible.

This, combined with the ability to rotate smoothly while sliding and diving, makes movement feel more natural instead of linear.

Encountering the prone block message was frustrating in previous Call of Duty games. Now, players can swivel when pinned in a corner for the best possible chance to win a duel against an opponent.

What is Intelligent Movement in CoD BO6?

Intelligent Movement in Black Ops 6 is a set of assists players can utilise to adapt the game to their own style.

Inspired by racing games which feature automatic gear shifts and assisted braking, Black Ops 6 Intelligent Movement features three different options:

Switching on the Intelligent Movement assists mean players can perform certain actions without having to press a button on their controller or a key on their keyboard.

With fewer buttons to press, the feature will come in handy for players with accessibility needs, with fewer inputs required to perform certain actions.

Omnimovement and Intelligent Movement will take some getting used to.

Thankfully, the second weekend of the beta begins on 6th September 2024, so there's another chance for players to familiarise themselves with both mechanics before the full release on 25th October 2024.
