The BAFTA Games Awards 2026 were hosted by Elz the Witch, a streamer and presenter from the UK whose previous credits include MOTDx, Sky Sports, Kiss Xtra, and the Sidemen Charity Match.

"I am truly honoured to be hosting this year’s BAFTA Games Awards," Elz the Witch said in an official statement before the event.

"Gaming is my ‘reason why’ for most aspects in my life. The shy 8 year old girl picking up a controller for the first time would’ve never imagined standing on stage honouring the incredible people who keep this industry alive.

"As only the second woman to host the awards, and someone who started their journey in a living room talking to a camera, I hope to inspire others to keep breaking down doors and to represent a new generation of gamers. Let’s celebrate some games!"

BAFTA mega fans will know that one award winner is always announced ahead of the ceremony; the recipient of the prestigious BAFTA Fellowship.

Jane Millichip, CEO of BAFTA, said of the news: "It is a real privilege to honour Ilkka with the BAFTA Fellowship this year. A visionary leader in games, he has built a globally influential company while championing creative collaboration and trust at every level."
