You could almost rename this genre the “Nicole Kidman drama” — again she leads a series based on a bestselling novel (this one by Elin Hilderbrand, published in 2018), playing a wealthy woman whose family is a hive of poisonous secrets. And of course, there’s been a murder — at the wedding of Amelia (Eve Hewson) and Benji (Billy Howle) on the chi-chi Massachusetts island of Nantucket. Amelia was already nervous of marrying into the wealthy family headed by a famous novelist (Kidman), but now she sees just what she’s got herself into. The rivalry and intrigue is delivered with a gleeful satirical edge.
