Laura Rutkowski

This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman and its star Sterling K Brown reunite for a political thriller. Agent Xavier Collins (Brown) is responsible for making sure no harm comes to President Cal Bradford (James Marsden), but when Bradford is murdered under dubious circumstances, Collins becomes a suspect.

As their complicated working relationship is unpicked in flashbacks, Collins continues to live in an idyllic community with his son and daughter, where, until the President’s murder, crime has been otherwise non-existent.

Collins turns to his fellow agent Billy (Jon Beavers) and psychologist Dr Gabriela Torabi (Sarah Shahi) to help clear his name, but the more he learns about the futuristic society he inhabits, he begins to ask a question: What if paradise isn’t actually paradise after all?
