Punchlines meet clotheslines in this bizarre mash-up of comedy and wrestling. The premise is simple — well-known stand-ups try their hand at the theatrical, faux-violent world of pro wrestling, against other comics or real wrestlers.
The headline “grudge match” is between Ed Gamble and Phil Wang — sorry, Ed “The Gambler” Gamble and Phil “Kill” Wang — but other comics entering the ring include Rosie Jones, Rose Matafeo, Maisie Adam and Amy Gledhill. Greg James, Nish Kumar and Sara Pascoe commentate. It’s a little baggy and chaotic.
