Summary

Jack Seale

In her first lead role since The Americans, Keri Russell is the titular political operator, America’s new ambassador to Britain. But she’s been redirected at the last minute from Afghanistan, and isn’t prepared to dress up nicely for starchy functions in cavernous old rooms.

Throw in the fact that international crises are looming and her husband (Rufus Sewell) being another politician who struggles to give up the spotlight to his wife, and you have a tart political drama that inevitably features plenty of quality Brits in the supporting cast, among them Rory Kinnear, Pearl Mackie and Celia Imrie.
