Scotland v Italy
Summary
Scotland v Italy (Kick-off 12.30pm). Gabby Logan presents all the action from the opening match in the final round of fixtures, held at BT Murrayfield. Scotland recorded a 33-22 victory when the sides met in Rome last year and have enjoyed some encouraging results this time around, though defeats to France and Ireland mean they no longer have a chance of winning the title. Italy have been competitive in all their matches so far, but are still without a win. With analysis from Martin Johnson and John Barclay, and commentary by Andrew Cotter, Sam Warburton and Chris Paterson

This year’s Six Nations has been a stellar tournament, which means all three concluding matches today are worth watching at home or by the fire in your local pub.
Proceedings begin in Edinburgh, where Scotland host Italy in a match that has too often been a play-off for dodging the wooden spoon (kick-off 12:30pm). Not this year, though, with Scotland having proved themselves as a team of genuine talent and spirit.
Eyes will then switch to Paris, where last year’s champions France welcome a Wales side in a deep state of peril both on and off the field of play (kick-off 2:45pm, ITV1).
Then it’s off to Dublin for England’s acid test against Ireland, the world’s top-ranked team (kick-off 5pm, ITV1), who are in with a shout of a grand slam. England will have to stem the supply to Ireland’s James Lowe, who stole headlines with an acrobatic try against France.

The Calcutta Cup is up for grabs this afternoon, with a resurgent Scotland looking like the favourites — victory would be their fourth in a row in the Six Nations. England can take nothing for granted after barely squeezing past Italy and Wales in performances with plenty of grit but little in the way of the scintillating rugby promised by coach Steve Borthwick. Gabby Logan will once again introduce coverage on the BBC, with Andrew Cotter leading the commentary team.
Earlier on, Mark Pougatch introduces a tie from Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on ITV1 with commentary led by Miles Harrison as the Irish will likely tighten their grip on the grand slam against a young Welsh team yet to reach their undoubted potential.
