Summary

Fifth Gear is essentially a clone of what Top Gear once was before Messrs Clarkson, May and Hammond spiced it up. Launched in 2002, it's a more sober affair, featuring test-drives of new cars, group tests, head-to-head performance shootouts, vehicle-based challenges, consumer advice and interviews with celebrity guests. Regular presenters Tiff Needell and Vicki Butler-Henderson have worked alongside Quentin Willson, Tom Ford, Adrian Simpson, Jon Bentley, Jason Plato, Jonny Smith, Tim Shaw and Tim Lovejoy through various stages of the programme's life.
