David Tennant is evil! In Netfix’s comic-book series he’s the appalling Kilgrave, a supervillain who can make anyone he meets obey his orders. But the show waits before unleashing him: initially we only see Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), the unusually strong private investigator whose previous brush with Kilgrave has left her traumatised.
It’s a fabulously noir-ish drama that slowly draws you in.
