Sherlock Holmes grappled with Moriarty, Batman the Joker, and now the intellectually gifted Morgan Gillory (Kaitlin Olson) has the twisted Game Maker.

At the climax to the first season of this peppy US procedural, cleaner turned cop consultant Morgan realised that she’d been selected for death by this sadistic adversary, whom we glimpsed in the closing seconds being played by Grimm star David Giuntoli. And now, following a brief period locked down under police guard, Morgan blasts back to the LAPD’s Major Crimes Division, determined to change the Game Maker’s rules in her favour. As ever, Morgan finds connections in the clues that her baffled colleagues have failed to spot.
