You won’t go far wrong if you make a habit of watching anything with Jessica Gunning in it — so this already intriguing comedy drama is a must-try. Stand-up comedian Richard Gadd adapts his own Olivier Award-winning play, which itself was based on a disturbing real-life experience: his alter ego Donny is a struggling comic with one particularly enthusiastic and persistent female fan, Martha (Gunning).
All is not exactly as it seems as we start to suspect that Donny doesn’t really mind the attention.
