The lasting legacy of Killing Eve goes on: here’s another clone of the global BBC hit, with a similar title and a director, Damon Thomas, who helmed several episodes of Eve at its peak.

This time the fabulous, unstoppable assassin is Catherine Zeta-Jones as Jackie, who when we first meet her seems to be merely an art dealer with expensive tastes and a luxurious lifestyle. Jackie has, however, wronged some powerful people, who employ legendary killing squad the Seven Demons to bump her off.

What the murderers don’t know is that Jackie’s dark past means she’s unusually well equipped to deal with what ought to be a rather stressful situation: flanked by her reluctant lawyer Sam (Daniel Ings), off she goes around some of Europe’s most glamorous locations, looking to get to the Demons before they get to her.

Based on the book by Nick Harkaway – son of John Le Carré – and with Bill Paterson, Ron Perlman, Sidse Babett Knudsen and Julian Rhind-Tutt in the supporting cast, it’s a thriller full of knowing winks and sweeping glamour.
