The Reunion: Absolutely Fabulous
Summary
Jennifer Saunders, Joanna Lumley, Julia Sawalha, Jane Horrocks and Jon Plowman reunite to discuss the cultural impact their 1990s sitcom Absolutely Fabulous has had
Review
Chris Gardner
For a super 60 minutes, sweeties, four of the Ab Fab “J’s” — Jennifer Saunders, Joanna Lumley, Julia Sawalha and Jane Horrocks, plus producer Jon Plowman (another J!) — reconvene in the company of Kirsty Wark for a clip-filled reflection on the peerless comedy that blazed onto our screens in 1992.
The much-missed fifth “J”, June Whitfield, is fondly remembered, but in the main it’s hilarious, covering outrageous costumes, falling out of cars drunk and corpsing. “It was joyous,” says Saunders — and for us, too.
