In the series finale, the remaining celebrity recruits are handed over to a team of interrogators for the most intense phase of selection. The recruits have been given a story to maintain in the event of capture and it's down to the interrogators to extract the truth using psychological and physical punishments to break the recruits' mental resolve and force a confession

At the start of this series there was much chatter on social media about the definition of “celebrity” and the high number of departures during the early part of the gruelling SAS selection course. The latter did make you question whether the contestants had ever watched the show, or just wanted “appearance” money. However, you have got to admire the tenacity of the five remaining recruits who, having been captured after they were ambushed on the pursuit challenge, now face interrogation using techniques “not permitted by the British army”. What’s surprising are the reasons that make a couple of them crack before the very end.
