Summary
Documentary examining eight separate attempts on the monarch's life during her 63-year reign, a story of danger, defiance and the unexpected threats lurking behind royal pageantry. Victoria insisted on showing herself to the crowds and in 1840 a gunman fired at her point blank on Constitution Hill in the City of Westminster, an assassination attempt that set a pattern for seven further attacks on her life
